Tilbury Ferry Shelter
This request was for a large passenger shelter at Tilbury Terminal. This project was quite a unique challenge for Littlethorpe, as the shelter would be located on a floating pontoon, connected to the river bank via a bailey bridge.
The client’s request was for this shelter to incorporate some of the Georgian style elements that their previous structure had, and we worked this into our own design.
The structure was delivered to the port fully assembled, and specialist equipment was used to manoeuvre and install the shelter directly onto the pontoon.
This shelter has been well received by the client and passengers alike.
